Why Ginger(Dry) prices vary across Kerala
Dry ginger (sonth) is cured after the Dec–Feb harvest and stores for months. Local arrivals, transport distance from producing belts (Kerala, Karnataka and the North-East) and variety mix all move the rate between mandis, which is why the range above spans ₹0 to ₹27,500.
